Hi Everyone. I thought I would do a blog, while I am on the computer. Went and got my hair cut today. Couldn't take another of day of it. And picked up tomato plants, cucumber seeds, yellow squash seeds, and half runner beans to plant. If the garden does good, we will have tomatoes and green beans coming out of our ears. Muggie I will let you know how the tomatoes and green beans do. We planted the Beef Steak tomatoes. Everyone we talked to said they were the best to plant. We planted 40 tomatoes plants. So I will probably be given away tomatoes and green beans. I am going to jump off of here and head for the shower, this makes the second shower for me today. I am sweated and dirty from head to foot. Well thats what I feel like I am. So Charlotte enjoyed the pictures, and, I am glad you went with cutie pie and got out of the house. Enjoy life is to short.

Well I am back. Cold and rainy here in NC. It has been raining going on two weeks straight. Its lets up and then the sun comes out for awhile and then it starts raining in the afternoons. The man came and dug up a garden spot for me, but, can't plant anything until it drys up some. I want to plant some cherry tomatoes and regular tomatoes and green beans and cucumbers. I guess I will have a late garden. Everyone else around here has their garden already planted. Any other time when we would want rain, we wouldn't get it. Planted some double knox roses and are they pretty. I will have to take a picture and put it on here. I had never heard of double knox roses until this man that Ray painted his house showed them to him and nothing would do Ray to take me to see them. They are beautiful. We picked up three to plant at Lowes. So when it quits raining I will put a picture of my ROSES on here. My sister flower garden in LA looks nice. I loved the pictures. Ok got to jump off of here for now, so until next time. Trying to figure out what to cook for dinner. Ray is napping right now. Later my friends and family.

Hi Everyone. I thought I would write something before I retire for the night. Went to church then we were invited to a family reunion. It was nice. Lots of food. Then we had to go to Costco and pick up a bridal shower cake before they closed. One of the girls that I work with at Duke is getting married May 30 at the beach and me and Ray are invited. I have never been to a beach wedding. She lost her husband 10 yrs ago with cancer. She works in our Psychology Dept. The weather here was nice, windy. It looked like it was going to rain, but, it didn't. I was glad because of the reunion. So thats my Sunday for you. So until next time.

A beautiful hot day 95 degees here. Went to church, and, I thought I would do a blog. Not much to say. Fixing something to eat, then getting ready to go back to work tomorrow. Boy, how I hate Monday's. Getting back into the routine at work. Rained off and on all day today. My brother Bunny called to see how we were doing. I guess he has been busy with his play toys and all, working making extra money. Talked to Joetta, I could hear her cooning or whatever you all it. She is 5 months old now, and, I have never seen her, except what Muggie sends thru the email. My supervisor came back today, from a weeks vacation in Florida. She sounded like she has a chest cold. Hard time talking. It was so nice when she is not their. Had a lot of trouble with her, quite a while back, but, now she is trying hard to be nice. So that is how my day went at work. It's me. I thought I would do my blog for the day, while Ray is napping. Went to church, and, enjoyed the service. Came back and fixed breakfast. And washed my hair and up in rollers and sitting around and enjoying the rest of the day. Ray just woke from his nap. I wish I could take a nap, that is one thing that I can't do, never could. But sister Charlotte can. If I did I would not be able to sleep the rest of the night. The weather forecasters are calling for rain tonight and Monday and Tuesday. We have been having a lot of rain so far this year. I am not knocking it, because we need it. Ok, I think that is it for this blog. I have been trying to figure out how my sister Charlotte, the computer wizard put a beautiful layout on her blog and my baby sister. I will figure it out eventually. Well, I'm back. Sorry I have not been on here lately, don't have much to write about. My Easter was staying at home and taking care of the sick. Me and my husband were suppose to go to Raleigh and meet our daughter and son-in-law for dinner, but,my husband wasn't feeling good for about a week. I was really worried about him, he wouldn't eat, run a temperature over a hundred and hot as a fire cracker. His symptons were fever, chest felt heavy, coughing, lungs hurting him real bad. So when Monday came around I called his doctor at Duke and told him that he had to be seen. So they told me to have him their by 10:00 am that morning. They did x-rays, blood work. And just as I guessed he had pneumonia in both lungs, again. This made the second time. He is on inhalers and taking three kinds of medicine. He is starting to feel much better. He has to go back to the doctor May 4th, and, they are going to do more x-ray and see how his lungs are. He is getting his strength back, he lost a lot of weigh. I am glad I have a sister as a nurse, because I am not good at taking care of the sick. But she is a retired nurse now and lives to far away. I faint at the looks of a needle. The weather here today in NC was beautiful. Might get some rain tomorrow night. The solar system is going nuts. Ok, got to run and watch some boob tube before I retire for the night. Hi everyone! Guess who, yep, if you guess it right the first time, it's me. Well its been a long time since I have been on here, so here goes nothing. My day at Duke, well it's getting pretty bad, they laided off 5 last week. It's pretty sad. Our census is down, not much clients. I asked them when I would get the ax, but, they said they would have to close down completely to lay me off. If I can get in at least 4 more years, I am out of their. Time to move on. Well, I am pretty proud of my sister Charlotte, she is heading for the finish line, with her NOT SMOKING! Me and my little sister has been yoyo's all our life, we are like our Dad, he would pick them up, smoke a while and then throw them back down. But, my Mom did not know how to quit, God rest her soul. She loved her cigarettes. I remember when we were growing up how me and Charlotte would have to go out in the yard and find her cigarettes butts, and, she would use what was left in them to make another cigrette and smoke. My husband smokes, and, I wish he would quit, he goes outside to smoke, never in the house, and my car. Well today is our little sister's son's birthday, he was born one day after hers. Boy, what a birthday gift she got. Ok, got to run, so to both of my lovely sister's, whom I don't call that much, but, I hope they know that I am always thinking of them and love them dearly. Have a wonderful evening, I have got to jump in the shower, 5:00 am comes early for me.....Until next time..........

Beautiful Day in NC

!Boy what a beautiful day on tap here in NC. Close to 70 degrees. I wish the temperature would stay like that. Enjoy it while we can. Suppose to pretty all this week. My husband cleaned all the vehicles. And I fed my squirrels some corn on the cob. I love to watch them. That was my excitement for the day. Getting ready for work tomorrow. Boy how the two days goes so fast. So I am going to cut it short, and I will post again tomorrow.

A Boring Saturday!

Well it's me again. Nothing much to say today. Except the same old thing I do every Saturday. Boy, do I hate housework. It is the same old, same old thing. I wish I could afford a housekeeper. Little Sis, I hope you can read this. I enlarged my font. Well what is everybody else been up to today, except giving blood like my sister in LA. I am sorry, but, just the thoughts about needles make me sick. Terrible to be scared like that with needles. But, I have had some pretty bad experience in my life with needles. It was a beautiful day here in NC. Suppose to be in the sixties, close to 70 tomorrow. I hope everyone else is getting thawed out. Charlotte I am mailing you the article that made the headlines in the Jackson Herald to you on Monday. You should get it on Wednesday. Father and Son got sent up to prison. Eddie Burl Smith and son. I'm back. Boy what a day I had at work. The control box to the fire alarm panel had some kind of trouble that signal the Duke Police and the fire department. I did not what was going on until I saw police offices and the fire men coming thru the building. I asked them what they were doing here, and they said the panel box had a misfunction and then it re-set it self. This new building we moved into is nice, but, I wish they would hurry up and get the bugs out of it. I am glad that Friday is tomorrow. That's pretty sad when you can't wait until the weekend. So that how my day went at Duke. Thanks sister's for keeping me up past my bedtime. Calling me on my birthday. 5:00 am come early Sisters. My two sisters retired at a early age. Lucky them. I just hope when I get ready to retire, I will feel like traveling which I love to do. Brother Bunny called and I never got to talk to him. And sister-in-law Gertie called. So all in all it is just another day. Boy was it cold and windy this morning. I was only 32 degrees all day. FREEZING. Friday is suppose to be in the fifties. And a beautiful weekend coming up. I'm back to do another post. My day started out when I got up at 5:00 am to look outside and see if we had any snow and to my surprise we did not get a thing. The interstate that takes me to Duke was dry and clean as a bell. Boy, was I holding my breath when I got up to take a peep outside. I just back in from my other job, and, the tempeture is freezing outside. The wind is so cold. I tryed to keep my birthday a surprise at work, I did not want anyone to know, but, it got out. My supervisor got me a card and a 25.00 gift certificate to Target. And some of the girls are taking me out to lunch on Monday. My daughter called and her and her husband care coming down on Friday, and, we are going out to eat. Now that's pretty good, after I started back in the gym to exercise. I am so sore from riding the bike today. I want be able to walk tomorrow, I probably will have to crawl to the car. So that is how my day went today. So not much to say, so stayed tuned in again for another post.

Well I just got home from my other job. We are having snow flurries as I write this. Not suppose to accomulate to anything, thats what the weather forecaster said. But sometime it is hard to believe them. I just hope it is not bad, when I have to drive to Duke. I leave the house at 5:45 am and have to clock in at 6:30 am. My day at Duke was kind of hectic, but, no as bad as Monday. Ok, not much to say this time. So stay tuned in until next time.

Well, I can't believe I am doing this. This is fun! Ok, this is how my day went at Duke. Number one we had a crazy women come in today for a stay of 6 days, I hope no more than that. She is a case. Kind of feel sorry for her, she has so many issues. Our PHD is working with her. Monday's is a stressful day for me at work. It takes me all morning to do the census. I know a lot of you don't know what I am talking about. Well let me try and explain. It is finding out who all enter the program on the weekend and adding them with all the ones that are still on program. Mathmathics! Kind of fun, but, it takes all morning to do and get the figures right. Add and substract! We have around 80 clients on program so far this week. A couple of weeks ago we had over a hundred and you talk about pulling my hair out, I almost did. Lot of thing that come has excess bagage, issues. So sad to see a lot of the weight that these people have. When I see them it makes me to want to hit the gym and start watching my calories. But, I love to eat. When I go back to my doctor she is not going to be happy, so I had better start my diet. So that is how my day went at work. My husband just came in, had a meeting to go to. It is starting to rain outside, and the weather forecasters are calling for light snow to the north of us, I hope they are right. Temperature is not suppose to drop down into the freezing. If it does, I will have a hard time going to work tomorrow. I feel so bad for the people in Kentucky, Ohio and WV with all the snow and ice they have been getting. Well today is Sunday. Went and got my hair done, and picked up a few grocery. It was a beautiful day outside, the sun felted so good. I guess my husband will be watching the super bowl at 6:00 pm. Not me I will be watching the other TV in the guest room. Not a big fan at watching sports. And then I will be off to bed and to work on Monday. UGH! I guess it could be bad and not have a job. Ok, everyone, here goes nothing. A beautiful sunny day here in North Carolina. Temp is in the fifties. Sun is shinning, and the sun feels so good. Clean house, washed clothes, hung them out on the line to dry and of course watching a little TV in between. I am slow getting everything done, but, it gets done. I talked to my baby sister in Ohio, to see if her electric came back on, but, not yet. Ohio has a lot of snow and ice. I miss living in WV, but, I don't like the winter weather anymore like I used to do as a child and teenager. To old, my bones can't take it. Husband is out working, and I am enjoying the peace and quite. I love my downtime. My sister in Lousiana, I guess she is having nice weather. Ok, that is about all I have to say this time, so until time time I write. Stay tuned.
